To assist the visually handicapped, the temperature display is also color-coded. The Monterey's intelligent self-learning, delayed-start capability is known as Adaptive Start. This evaluates the thermal properties of the room and then decides how long the appliance must run to achieve the desired temperature. The heater calculates the time it needs to start heating to reach the user-defined target temperature at the set time by measuring the heat-up and cool-down rates of the room and how this fluctuates with external conditions. This reduces energy waste and can result in significant cost savings.
